geographyalltheway is one year old today! It sort of started out a little earlier but today is the anniversary of it been externally hosted!

It has been an interesting year through which I have learned a great deal.

Completed units:

Year 7 – What is Geography?
Year 7 – Using Maps and Atlases
Year 7 – Rivers and Flooding
Year 7 – Economic Activities
Year 8 – Coasts
Year 8 – Population and Resources
Year 8 – Energy Resources
Year 8 – Rich and Poor Countries
Year 9 – Development
Year 9 – Hazards
IGCSE – Population
IGCSE – Settlement
IGCSE – Industrial Systems
IGCSE – Agricultural Systems
IGCSE – Leisure Activities and Tourism
IB – Population
IB – Resources
IB – Ecosystems and Human Activity
IB – Drainage Basins and their Management

Units currently being worked upon:

Year 9 – A new unit working with the DT and ICT departments, using Google Sketchup, to design and sell a house, in Nicaragua which will be hazard resistant.
IGSCE – Tectonic Hazards
IGCSE – Energy and Water Resources
IB - Globalization

Units that should be completed by the summer:

Year 7 – Rocks
Year 7 – Settlement
Year 8 – Weather and Climate
Year 8 – Ecosystems (or Antarctica?)
Year 9 – Tourism
IGCSE – Environmental Risk and Benefits
IGCSE – Weathering
IGCSE – River Processes
IB - Development
